In the energy market, a key to maximising revenue is the ability to optimise return from a resource, whatever your energy source might be: water, wind or thermal. For example, to maximise return from hydro generation the generator requires fuel (water) to be available to meet market opportunities, while optimising the effects of spill and head and considering environmental requirements and downstream users.
