The Power Delivery Chain

The delivery of Hydro Power Solutions involves the complete set of skills from all the teams in Hydro Tasmania Consulting and covers the following elements of the power delivery chain, which have been illustrated in the diagram on the right:

• water storage assets (dams, gates and valves, etc)
• water conveyancing (tunnels, canals and penstocks, etc)
• energy conversion (generating plant, auxiliaries, and control/protection equipment)
• energy transformation assets to the point of connection with the transmissions network (transformers, circuit breakers and switchgear, etc) 
• infrastructure support (buildings, roads, earthing systems, resource analysis and environmental compliance, etc).

Hydro Power Solutions can be categorised into these main groups of products:

• New greenfields investigation and design
• Large or small-scale power station refurbishment, modernisation or upgrade
• Individual component replacement, repair or upgrade
• Ongoing asset management and condition monitoring
• System integration and asset management practice development and/or reviews
