Feasibility and investigation of dams

Based on experience gained through the construction of its own dams for over 80 years, Hydro Tasmania has built up a large team of highly experienced and competent staff able to undertake the investigations into the feasibility of dams. This experience is available to outside ventures through the services of Hydro Tasmania Consulting.

Our dam engineers, geologists and geotechnical engineers are specialists in their fields. Supporting these are our hydrographers and hydrologists, who are recognised for their proficiency and skill and use state-of-the-art software and computer systems. Additional in-house support can be obtained from our environmental scientists and the most advanced engineering survey and mapping facilities in Australia.
